ANUBHAV

Dear friends,
The first episode of Anubhav series was shot at the Queens Public Television which is a part of the Time Warner Cable in Queens.

The guests present were Anindita C. Bhaumik( CEP Consultant and governmental Liaison, CONNECT.), Rumi Nuseir( American MidEast leadership Network) Sabrin( Out against abuse) and Dr.Ghassan Elcheikhali (Principal of Razi School), who spoke about what are the adjustment problems that South Asian new immigrants face in the city and how to cope with those problems.

The discussion touched many levels of the problems and was both informative and exhaustive in terms of opinions and ideas for change.

We hope to bring in a new topic for our next issue , it would be on ESL- "Language barriers" for the new immigrants in a new country. We will give you information on where to find help, what sort of help is available in your own languages.

please tune in this coming Saturday at 7pm and Sunday @3:30pm to watch , support and encourage us in our efforts to educate and empower the "immigrants" in the city.
